'Recognized as one of the top 100 events in North America (ABA), the Casino du Lac-Leamy Sound of Light invites you to come and experience fireworks as you never have before during one of its 5 unforgettable evenings organized in honor of its international pyromusical competition (fireworks synchronized to an original soundtrack).
Gatineau, Saturday August 21st, 2010 – On the evening of the Grande finale, it is on a very positive note that the organizers of the most explosive event of the summer are wrapping up the 15th Edition of the incredible pyromusical competition.
While the scores of the competition were very close (China : 234 points, USA : 227 points, Germany : 225 points, Portugal: 166 points), the segments presented during the Grande Finale played a crucial part in declaring this year’s winning team as the Sound of Light’s jury panel was able to award extra points (up to 150) for the quality of the work presented.
After a quick deliberation, Germany represented by Steffes-ollig lead by the great designer Helmut Reuter was declared winner of 2010 and awarded the Zeus Trophy.
China was declared the big winner of our Best Show Award by the public.
